In just 12 months, we’ve set the foundation for an ongoing mission to revolutionise the way people experience the UK’s independent heritage - bringing our member hosues to life in ways that are engaging, accessible, and inspiring.
This year has been focused on connecting people with the stories of the UK’s most iconic independent historic properties - homes that are buzzing with personality, character, and history, and that stand as enduring testaments to the families and teams who continue to care for them into the 21st century. Our mission? To amplify these efforts, champion these exceptional places, and preserve their legacies for future generations, while offering unique experiences that make these spaces accessible for all to enjoy.
A Year of Growth: Expanding Our Network of Member Houses
One of our proudest accomplishments in this first year has been the significant expansion of our member house network. We’ve added some of the most iconic and historically rich properties from up and down the UK to our platform, from the regal ruins of Dunnottar Castle on the Scottish Coast, to the labrynithine Medieval elegance of Sudeley Castle in the Cotswolds. With each new addition, we continue to broaden the diversity of heritage experiences available on HeritageXplore - with every new house, we’re building a richer, more diverse platform for our community to explore and enjoy!
Affiliate Programme Days: Bringing Heritage to Life
Over the past 12 months, our Affiliate Programme Days have been nothing short of magic. These exclusive day trips have given our community of ever-inspiring (and genuienly lovely!) content creators the chance to discover some of our favourite hidden heritage houses, and share their unique experiences with their global audiences. From the 'English Versailles' that is Boughton House, to the dramatic and mysterious Hellfire Caves and the enigmatic elegance of Elveden Hall, each event has allowed creators to experience and to showcase these remarkable sites in ways that ignite connection and have helped to bring heritage to life for new audiences across the world.
HeritageXplore Luxe: Unmatched Access to the UK’s Most Prestigious Estates
In April, we unveiled the first ever HeritageXplore Luxe, an ultra-exclusive offering that takes luxury heritage experiences to a whole new level. This is heritage beyond the red tape - where access to some of the UK’s most prestigious estates is granted only to a select few. We launched with The Ducal Tour: a four-day, immersive journey through six of the UK’s most iconic estates, spanning both England and Scotland. Hosted by the custodians of these remarkable properties, the tour allowed guests unprecedented access to private quarters and hidden spaces, places that are completely off-limits to the public. This experience was about much more than just seeing beautiful homes - it was about stepping behind the scenes and engaging with the living history of these extraordinary estates, sharing intimate stories and moments with those who care for them. The experience was made even more unforgettable with black-tie dinners in some of the most stunning settings, adding a layer of glamour and elegance that only HeritageXplore Luxe can offer. Book Club Guest Features: Engaging Our Community
Our HeritageXplore Book Club has quickly become an integral part of our community, bringing together heritage enthusiasts, history lovers, and bibliophiles from around the world (a special thank you to our members joining from the USA, Australia, and beyond!) to explore the stories of historic houses and the intriguing figures who have influenced - or been influenced by - them, through literature. We kicked off this years' series with The Sphinx, where we were thrilled to host two sessions with the renowned royal biographer, Hugo Vickers. His insight into the history behind the iconic figure of Gladys Deacon, 9th Duv=chess of Marlborough, captivated our members - and we look forward to continuining with the next series soon!
