We are thrilled to announce that HeritageXplore is sponsoring the iconic St Andrews DONT WALK fashion show!  

Founded in 2001 in response to the 9/11 attacks, DONT WALK was created by a group of international students in St Andrews who refused to walk past societal issues without action. Inspired by the streets of New York City, the event is named after the "Don't Walk" signals that stand at every crosswalk—a symbolic nod to standing firm against adversity. DONT WALK is much more than a fashion show. It is a year-long multidisciplinary exhibition that culminates each March in a dazzling charity event, combining fashion, art, music, film, and performance. Over the years, it has gained international acclaim, featuring prestigious fashion houses such as La Perla, Rick Owens, and Raf Simons, alongside sponsors like LVMH, Coca-Cola, and Heineken. The event's legacy includes a runway appearance by Kate Middleton, further solidifying its global reputation. At its core, DONT WALK is dedicated to raising awareness and funds for organizations combating violence and inequality. Since its inception, it has raised over £350,000 for causes that make a meaningful impact. This year, the event is supporting Peaceful Tomorrows, an organization founded by 9/11 victims’ families to advocate for peace and nonviolent solutions to conflict, and Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders), a global humanitarian organization providing critical medical assistance in conflict zones and crises, including efforts in Sudan, Gaza, and Ukraine. At HeritageXplore, we celebrate the transformative power of heritage, creativity, and bold action in shaping a better future. We are proud to support DONT WALK and its incredible mission to inspire change through artistic expression.
