Sudeley Castle in Gloucester is a gem of Tudor history. It served as Catherine Parr’s home and final resting place and was used by Elizabeth I for a three-day party to celebrate her victory over the Spanish Armada! 3. Doddington Hall

 

Feasting your eyes on the art filled Long Gallery at Doddington Hall may leave your stomach feeling left out. In the stylish Coach House, you can indulge in an award-winning afternoon tea. Take in amazing views of the Elizabethan Hall and enjoy a mouth-watering selection of sweet treats.

4. Blenheim Palace

 

Explore the room where Sir Winston Churchill was born, take in the spectacular gardens designed by Capability Brown then retire to the gorgeous Orangery for afternoon tea. 5. Stansted Park

 

Nestled in the Walled Garden at Stansted Park, you will find the Pavilion Tea Rooms, housed in a beautiful Victorian glass house. Wander through the gardens and into this stunning building to enjoy a delectable selection of cakes, sandwiches and freshly baked scones.

 

Afternoon tea is served in the Pavillion Tea Rooms everyday at 15:30 and booking is essential.
