What to bring? Sturdy walking boots and a camera to capture the scenery. This event may not be suitable for families with pushchairs or wheelchairs due to the uneven terrain.

February Snowdrop Festival, Glamis Castle, Scotland
Glamis Castle invites visitors to join its Head Gardener, Des Cotton, for a special snowdrop planting event along the Nature Trail. Participants will plant a selection of single and double snowdrops (Galanthus nivalis and Galanthus nivalis ‘Flore Pleno’), perfect for snowdrop enthusiasts. Tools will be provided, but guests are encouraged to bring their own trowels if preferred. Glamis Castle staff will be available to assist and answer any questions.

What to bring? Please do bring your own trowel, gardening gloves and a kneeler should you prefer.
Snowdrops at Stonor Park, Oxfordshire
Stonor Park is opening its gates to visitors between 15th and 23rd February to offer a glimpse of their snowdrops in bloom. With several varieties around the site and superb views over the surroudning rolling hills and deeer park, it's a special morning out for all.

Snowdrop Walks, Belvoir Castle, Leicestershire

There are near-endless nature photography opportunities to capture the delicate, snow-white blooms against the backdrop of this historical setting. This outdoor experience promises an unforgettable adventure for the whole family, inviting you to into the magic of natures winter spectacle at Belvoir Castle.

What to bring? A thermos of hot chocolate, a camera and a notebook to jot down your observations.

Spring Bulb Pageant, Doddington Hall, Lincolnshire
A pageant of spring bulbs arrives to Doddington in early February with snowdrops, Cyclamen coum, and Crocus tommasinianus. Among them are 5,000 snowdrops in the nature trail, transforming the landscape into a delicate tapestry of white, pink, and lilac hues - a perfect place to wander and embrace the season's beauty.

When? 5th February – 5th April, 2025, Wednesday - Sunday, 10am - 4pm
What to bring? A warm coat and a flask of tea for a cosy winter walk.
Tickets are available on arrival at the gatehouse.
Snowdrop Walk, Scone Palace, Perth
Scone Palace will be hosting a day to celebrate the snowdrop display that grows in the gardens and grounds of this historic site. A waymarked 'Snowdrop Walk' will guide you through the Friars Den, Victorian Pinetum and down the old drive lined with an avenue of lime trees. Join the Palace gardens team as they plant up a wooded area of the grounds for a new snowdrop display. Here you will learn to increase your own snowdrop display at home where lifting, splitting and transplanting will be demonstrated. As a thank you, a gift of a few snowdrops will be given to improve or start your own collection.

Holkham Hall, Norfolk
The vast parkland at Holkham Hall is home to an impressive collection of snowdrops, which can be seen in the winter months. Visitors can wander through the snowdrop-lined avenues, take in the serene surroundings and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. Holkham Hall even has its own snowdrop themed pottery

What to bring? Comfortable footwear and a pair of binoculars for spotting winter wildlife.

Snowdrop Walk at Lamport Hall, Northamptonshire
Over two weekends, Northants and Rutland Open Studios are holding a Spring Open Exhibition which will be on display in the Carriage House and artists creating art live in the gardens. Enjoy a stroll around the gardens and venture into the woodland, admiring the spring bulb display. There will also be the opportunity to purchase rare snowdrops and irises at the event. The Lamport Stables Cafe will be open serving hot and cold drinks and delicious homemade sweet and savoury treats.
