1. Divorced, Beheaded, Died: An Audience with King Henry VIII at Grimsthorpe Castle
Grimsthorpe Castle in Lincolnshire is putting on a spot of outdoor theatre this Friday, inviting you to an audience with Britain’s most infamous monarch. This lively one-man show will take audiences on a journey through the life of the rambunctious king, weaving together tales from his dramatic reign, including the stories of each of his six extraordinary wives. The evening will finish with a Q&A, where audiences can ask their burning questions about King Henry’s life and get their answers straight from the horse’s mouth!
*Please note guests must make their own seating arrangements and are advised to bring outdoor chairs or a picnic rug from which they can enjoy the show.

2. 1940s Wartime Weekend at Belvoir Castle
Belvoir Castle in Leicestershire is taking you on a journey into the past, inviting you to enjoy a weekend of wartime nostalgia. Find yourself transported straight back into 1940s Britain as you watch captivating re-enactments of a bygone era, listen to live music, or even dust-off your dancing shoes and hit the floor for a swing and jive. There’s something for everyone at this fun, family-friendly weekend, great for Dad’s who love a bit of history, or even just for those who fancy something a bit different!

3. Summer fete at Caerhays Castle
Caerhays Castle in Cornwall is gathering visitors together for some family fun and a charitable cause this Father’s Day. The fete this Sunday will support Children’s Hospital Southwest and will include a plethora of fun activities for families to enjoy such as a 5k fun run, Morris dancing, artisan crafts, delicious food and so much more. Perfect for those looking for a day of outdoor fun and community spirit!

4. Father’s Day BBQ at Carlton Towers
