When Brand Becomes Behaviour: An Evening with Anya Hindmarch for HeritageXplore Club Members

There are few people who can make a room rethink a word as familiar as 'brand'. Last night, HeritageXplore Club members joined Anya Hindmarch and our founder Violet Garnock for an after-hours evening at the Anya Village on Pont Street - and what unfolded was a conversation about behaviour over brand, stories over status, and why real luxury might just be a scallop sandwich in Wellington boots on a Scottish beach.

From the origins of the I'm Not A Plastic Bag movement to the Chubby Hearts that stopped London in its tracks, and from the craftsman in Florence who hands over a finished bag like he's handing over his child, to the case for slow travel and the urgent need to protect British making - it was an evening that left the room with a great deal to think about.

Members also received a complimentary scoop from The Ice Cream Project, now in its fifth year, where the flavour line-up reads like a British pantry daydream - think Oxo, Lurpack and Kikkoman Soy Sauce alongside the rather more civilised Capri Sun and Tunnock's Caramel. Throughout the Village, members enjoyed 20% off all purchases on the night, and the rare opportunity to quiz both Anya and Violet on everything from their creative processes and entrepreneurial journeys to the ideas shaping their work today.
