Fridays:
The Full Kelvedon Experience
12pm – 3.30pm
Includes exterior and interior tours with local expert and published author, Phil George, and custodian of Kelvedon, Katie Channon. Afternoon tea is provided as well as access to the grounds.

Saturdays:
Kelvedon House & Tea Tour – Guided tour led by Katie Channon, followed by afternoon tea and the option to explore the grounds.
House & Grounds Tour (Picnic-Friendly) – Guided tour led by Katie Channon, followed by the option to explore the grounds. Bring your own picnic.
Tour start times vary, but each lasts approximately 40 minutes with time afterwards to enjoy the gardens at your lesiure.

All visits must be booked in advance.

FAQs

Do I need to book in advance?
Yes, all tours at Kelvedon Hall must be pre-booked as places are limited and the estate is not open for general admission.

What’s included in the Friday tour?
The Full Kelvedon Experience includes a guided exterior tour with Phil George, an interior tour with Katie, afternoon tea, and time to explore the gardens. It runs from approximately 12pm to 3.30pm.

How long are the Saturday tours?
Each Saturday tour includes a 40-minute guided interior tour with Katie. Guests are then welcome to stay and enjoy afternoon tea (Kelvedon Hall Tour with Tea) or bring their own picnic (Kelvedon Hall Tour: Bring your own Picnic).

Is there a minimum number of people required for the tours?
Yes, Friday tours require a minimum of 10 guests in order to go ahead. Saturday tours do not have a minimum.

Can I bring children?
Absolutely – children are very welcome. We offer reduced pricing for children and free entry for under 6s.

Are the grounds open to explore?
Yes. On Fridays, guests can explore the grounds after the tour and tea. On Saturdays, picnic ticket holders are encouraged to enjoy the gardens at their leisure after the interior tour.

Is Kelvedon Hall accessible for those with limited mobility?
The ground floor of the Hall is accessible via wheelchair, but please note that the upstairs areas are not. The outdoor terrain is also uneven in places, which may present challenges for those with limited mobility. If you have specific access needs, feel free to get in touch before booking and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.

Can I bring my own food?
Yes – if you book the Kelvedon Hall Tour: Bring your own Picnic on a Saturday, you’re welcome to bring your own picnic to enjoy in the gardens after your tour.

Is there parking on-site?
Yes, free parking is available for all visitors during the tour times.
